Creative living as/is an inalienable right

“We deserve to be more than one thing” - D.J. Billings

“Freedom of expression is an inalienable human right” -
Article 10 of the human rights act

I am an artist.

I am a photographer.

I am a vocalist.

I am a writer.

I am a teacher.

I am an adventurer.

Connecting to creative life can be elusive in our modern world where society values freely sharing their views on creativity with impunity.

You’re here because you are maybe a little curious about how one could live this creative life or maybe have an insight into my creative life.

“Polymaths do it all” - Cariña Booyens, Creative Polymath

I know, I do a lot and I do it well. Creativity can be elusive in our lives, but it is our birthright. You deserve to know more and to have access to creativity.

You want a connection to creativity in your own life. You can do this for yourself or through another artist. The enjoyment of creativity is a right. You’re welcome to connect with it here with me.

I practice many forms of creativity which is why I describe myself as a polymath. Living a creative life is akin to speaking many different languages. As an artist, I use the language of color to connect with nature and humanity. In my writing, I use the unique lens of my position in the world to connect with emotion and humans. When I sing I transcend language limitations and seek freedom from them. I channel my energy through my voice to connect with others through sound waves. Because of my own personal journey recovering my creative wounds, I can often “read people”  and sense where their creative wounds are - I can then create an environment where students foster their own creativity in my classes.

The breadth of my creative endeavors encompasses cocktail recipes, wedding floristry, unicorn cakes, plant mom, martial arts, yoga, and more!

On my website, you will bear witness to my creative life and perhaps experience the healing of your own creative wounds through studying art.

You can learn more about my painting, printmaking, drawing, and photography on the art pages. More on my vocal stylings on the singing page. If you’re interested in fostering your own creativity, there are classes on my Learning Page. For the full breadth of my creative endeavors check out the Rara Avise (Rare Bird) page.
